The group around the software.
Most of what you will want to know about running MASA well is already worked out somewhere in this group — in a webinar, in the knowledge base, or by another producer who hit the same thing two years ago.
What every operation gets.
Webinars, the newsletter and the knowledge base are open to every operation on the platform, and so is the network behind them — other producers running the same system, who have usually already worked out whatever you are looking at.
Webinars
One part of the system at a time, worked through by the people who built it and the people who use it.
FarmSMART
The monthly newsletter — what changed, what is coming, and what other operations are doing with it.
Knowledge base
Video, articles and guided walkthroughs, for the question you have at ten at night.
A network of peers
Producers, controllers and outside accountants running the same software on farms that look nothing like each other — and reachable.
Growing Insight.
Once a year everyone gathers for two days at Growing Insight, where producers, advisors and finance teams compare what they measure and how they measure it.
A good share of it runs as roundtables rather than presentations. A swine operation, a row-crop partnership and an accounting firm that keeps books for six farms end up at the same table on the same question, and the interesting part is usually how differently they answer it.
What gets built next.
Owners sit on the working groups that decide what gets built next, and what comes out of them is engineered to work at everyone’s scale.
The groups themselves are owner-level. What they produce is not — it ships to every operation on the platform, whether or not you have a stake in the company.
Producers building, in the open.
Labs is a producer-driven effort inside MASA. Producers take on the initiatives that matter most to their own operations, build with AI, and contribute what works back to the group, where it is standardized, scaled and made available to everyone on the platform.
It is built and tested by the people who have to live with the answer. Nothing is contributed on the strength of a demonstration; it gets into other operations first, and comes back sharper or not at all.
The people who have already been through it.
A lot of what comes up in a year is not a support question. It is a judgment call — how to set up a new entity, what to do with a lease that does not fit the chart of accounts, whether anyone else tracks a cost the way you are about to. Somebody on this platform has made that call already.
You meet them at Growing Insight, in the working groups and on the webinars. After that it is a phone call, and MASA is not in the middle of it.
